I spent New Year's Eve first at ladycariad's house with mad_as_soup and nix_the_fish, watching part of the Doctor Who marathon on UK TV (I never thought I'd see Doctor Who Confidential on New Zealand televison), playing with sparklers, and writing letters to ourselves and each other in a year, and then at Raymond's hiding in a corner playing TWEWY (for some reason I want to beat ( Read more... ) -

- Concert went well! Surprised myself on There Are Worse Things I Could Do by singing in key.

- I gave my certificate back to Mr. Maskill with a note reading, "Who is this Carly person? I have never seen her at practice; what does she play? =D" He brought it down later and was like, "Do I detect a bit of anger here?" I am such an ass sometimes. XD;

Signed up for Scholarship English and music. This may not have been the best idea I've ever had.
Two concerts this weekend:
1) Singing recital. Megan Corby's students, kids to adults. 7PM tomorrow evening; Adam Concert Room, New Zealand School of Music (Vic's Kelburn campus); $5 for adults, $2 for students.
I'm accompanying myself without a mic. This could be interesting...

This week has been full of surprises
Sunday morning saw me being surprise support for Something Slightly Strange at their chamber music competition. Chamber music isn't usually my thing but I did enjoy it. Even if some of the groups bored me at times. 3S was good! My first time hearing them since they formed ages ago. In the afternoon I was a surprise guest at mad_as_soup's.
